Humans and Demons were never meant to coexist. It is impossible for either to live peacefully with one another... considering the mere fact that Demons want nothing more than to destroy the living. It is their duty to rid the world of what their definition of evil is. The world is a terrible and disgusting place, and taking Human life one by one will - in their twisted minds - purify the world one death at a time. Max Rivers is that particular Human with a majorly screwed up life... from medicine abuse to simply giving up on life altogether. Jeff has been one of those tortured and emotionless Demons to roam the world as he so pleases, taking life whenever he crossed paths with a Human. Neither one of them were meant to meet... and they sure as hell were never meant to coexist. Jeff takes life to suppress his own evil past... and Max wants her life to be taken from her in order to put an end to her horrible present and future.
