In the last 25 years some 40, 000 children from our towns and cities have had the chance to spend a week down on the farm. - either at Nethercott in Devon, where farms for City Children began, or at Treginnis Isaf on the coast of Pembrokeshire, or at Wick Court In Gloucestershire. All three farms are different - Nethercott a mixed diary, sheep and arable farm along the banks of the River Torridge, Treginnis Isaf a hill farm by the sea with 1000 breeding ewes where the seals come to have their pups on the beaches and Wick Court an organic farm where they make Double Gloucester cheese from the milk of Gloucester cows, where Gloucester pigs wander at will.
