Kasey Reilly is Millard High's ice hockey captain. At 6'4" he's pretty much the tallest kid in the school. And the most popular.His parents are rich. He has the cheerleader captain, Jenni Valenti, on his arm. He's a straight-A student. And his friends consist of Jason Jenillo, and Dallas Keirstein, the 'bigoted jockasses' of the school. Atari J. Lorence is almost the complete opposite. He's the shortest kid in school at 5'3". He's the pushed around gay boy. His mother is single and lives by the paycheck. He's only ever had one boyfriend, and that one almost ruined his entire life. He's failing quite a few classes. And his friends consist of southern Italian boy Lazzaro (Laz) Alfonse and Parisian-pretty-boy Jaqueleen (Jackie)Devoir. But AJ has a bit of a secret. That only his mother and Jackie know. After a not-so-thought-out plan to get a slutty girlfriend off Kasey's back, the hockey captain is starting to take interest in the little spit-fire mystery boy.
