He had everything he needed in his life. Raven had a loving family. His mother and father were loved by all in Velaris as High Lord and Lady of the Night Court. He had lived in the peace that his family had fought and died for his whole life.

Raven had grown up hearing stories of his family giving it all destroy Hybern. He hadn't needed to fight for peace, to fight for the ones he loves the way his family had.

Rosella didn't know where she came from. Her father had told her she appeared on his doorstep one day, a little babe wrapped in silk.

She was raised in an empty manor in a broken court. It was always spring, always warm. Wildlife wandering about and flowers always in bloom. She had loved the man she now called her father.

He called her a gift from the Mother, gifted to an underserving beast.

Her life was peaceful, quiet.
