Abbi has lived her whole life contained inside her 1870's house. She is a subject in the House Project, a government-run test to see how people adjust to "time-travel".  Being told her 1870's isolation is normal, Abbi will have to discover the truth of her real time period, 2018. Being given $10, 000 to survive in the real world alone, Abbi will be forced to find and adjust to modern day life, and along the way, find justice for those robbed of their childhoods.
