This story is based in the 1400's during a medieval war that took place during the coldest winter in a decade, and a boy who has been having visions of a blade stuck in ice ever since he was 11, connected to it without ever seeing it he knows he must find it.

Altherian, a boy who was abandoned at birth during the coldest winter in a decade, dropped off on an old farm by a mysterious hooded lady on a horse only to be found by the owner of the stable the next morning, an elderly lady, she instantly fell in love with this baby, not bearing the thought off it dying to the cold. She raised the boy with all her energy teaching him everything she knows about surviving in the cold, reading and writing, as much as she could knowing she wouldn't last much longer. Altherian hadn't shared his visions he'd been having since the age of 11, powerful visions of a blade stuck in ice he felt when the time was right to pursue this blade through the coldest and darkest winter in a decade.
