Aiden is born with no hearing, but his parents have pushed to make him feel included his entire life. Life is fine, and although he's a little nervous to start senior year of high school back in New York he's pumped when he gets to play soccer again.
Lake Deacon is a senior at Townsend Harris High School, and he hates his life. His father is a miserable man bent on ruining Trevor's life, which means he can never know that's he's gay. Lake is surviving until graduation, and then he's gone. Playing soccer is his one solace until some random guys walks in and shows just how much skill he has.
Lake will not let his one joy be taken away by some deaf loser, no matter how nice his ass is.

However it's bad enough that he's the man in charge here. Theirs few rules that is assigned by the man in charge, No romance or sneaking out after your curfew.
