This story is sent in the steampunk eire. Over half of the human population have control over an element. The common elements being Earth, Fire, Water, Air, Plants and Lightning. However new rare elements have started appearing such as Shadow, Sound and metal.

Not all of the human population are elementals. There are still a fair share of humans what don't have control over any elements. Some humans even hate the elementals and call them bio terrorists because not all elementals have good intentions some are quite villainous.

The land is divided up into Cities and Villages. Cities normally house the non-elemental humans because that's normal life for them, however some elementals do live in the City also. Only Elementals live in villages which are extremely tribal, they feel like being in a city hinders their abilities.

Kala had always thought of herself as normal, but when the world ended, cleansed by a power most would fail to understand, she realized she was far from normal. That day, Kala awoke in a fog surrounded by a nothingness that permeated every pore of her body. The only sounds she could hear were her own ragged breaths in the vast and empty darkness. When the light finally returned, she found herself utterly alone and suddenly part of a struggle much bigger than she'd ever thought possible. With that struggle came something else...power. Power to control the elements. Power the likes of which she had only seen in movies or read about in books. Despite her disbelief, it remained...right there in the palms of her hands. Eventually Kala learned to use her power as it was intended. As she wandered the new world, she met others like herself, other Servants with similar abilities who understood the reason for the destruction...for the loss. And then, six years after her world turned upside down, she met him. A handsome stranger in a tiny town in the middle of the West Virginia woods - not a Servant - not like her. And certainly not the type of man Kala had expected to find herself falling for. But the man she met there turned out to be more than just a hero in her time of need. At her side, he would become a protector, leader, confidant, and so much more. Together, they would find themselves fighting a growing evil...a man like Kala, who had been granted power beyond words or description. He might have been a good man once, but his fall was nearly complete. And now he desired only to rule - not to heal. This man would lead a small army against them, but they wouldn't have to fight alone. There was another, more powerful force on their side...one that could change the course of the war to come.

[Rewritten] [Book 1] Twelve-year-old Skylar Sparks never wanted to be special. She was perfectly fine being a Non-Elemental, dreaming of a normal life in London-high school, university, and a future as a veterinarian. But when monstrous Nagas attack her city, everything changes. Skylar becomes the one thing she never expected, the one thing she grew up reading about, the one thing she hated: the Chosen One. Now, as the only Light Elemental in Stelarinia, she's thrown into a world where she's seen as an abomination. Tasked with finding the lost Relics, starting with the Fire Crown, she must navigate ruthless rivals, biased teachers, ancient prophecies, and dangerous creatures lurking in the shadows-all while barely understanding her own Element. With her twin brother by her side, unlikely friendships forming, and a strict Master who prefers whacking her with his staff over giving clear instructions, Skylar must figure out how to survive magical school, master her abilities, and stay alive until the Blue Moon Festival. But there's a problem-someone wants her to fail. And in a world where being the Chosen One means being hunted, failure isn't an option.
