Being sick your whole life can rob you of many things.
Erza Scarlet since she was very young has been very ill. She had an illness known as M.E, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. She's had it since she could remember. Her childhood was robbed from her because of this, she couldn't go to parks with friends, couldn't do anything a normal child would do.
M.E was uncurable.
Once Erza got to high school she changed her life, she was happier, doing things she loved, now in college she's still trying her hardest to push herself to her limits, doing what she can to do what she loves but behind closed doors she was pushing herself closer and closer to an early death.
