Nora Green is a single mom who lost her husband and the father of her child to an unknown cause. She and her daughter start their new life but remain to be haunted with their past.
This is a short story for the #travelbrilliantly contest but if I get enough good feedback, I have ideas for adding to the story and making it more like a book. You can only do so much with a 1000 word limit.:)

A Cruel and Unusual Glitch
A successful businessman wakes up on his daughter's fifth birthday. He goes about his usual routine of working at the office and coming home to his loving family, but something is amiss. Is it deja vu or is he actually reliving the same day over and over again? This is my first short story and is based on science fiction. Alex and Henry are newly engaged and planning their wedding as Alex's first Congressional election is coming up. While Henry is done with being in the spotlight, he's always knew that to love Alex, he'll have to continue to be. But as the wedding approaches, it eats at him as he realizes Alex and him want different lives. Alex, meanwhile is too wrapped up in politics to see how much Henry is suffering, and in his attempt to balance being everything to everyone, turns to vice. Will this be the thing that tears them apart? How can they both be happy if one of them has to sacrifice the life they have always desired? Follows book cannon (but not the bonus chapter exactly) and takes place 6 years after the end of the book. Chapters will alternate being told from Henry and Alex's POVs. His eyes drop to my lips before his mouth descends, capturing mine in an all consuming, over powering kiss and I moan almost instantly. He captures the sound in his mouth, pressing his lips firmly against my own, possessing, teasing and coaxing more gasps from within me. I'd never felt a kiss like this before; I twist my tongue against his and hear a deep groan of approval in the back of his throat. He grabs me and pulls me into his body, pressing my chest against his own, and I take the next step by swinging my leg over and sitting astride him.
