This book is a fanfiction based from a series written by a talented author by the name of Shannon Messenger. The characters were created by her, but the plot of this book is original. If you haven't read her series, I highly recommend doing so, as it has an amazing storyline and well developed characters!

Fitz held Sophie close to his chest. His heart was pounding uncontrollably, and his every touch was careful, as if one wrong move could end it all. Her brown eyes met his teal ones, and they stared breathlessly at each other for a moment.
"Are you alright?" He choked out, still in shock from the previous ordeal.
Pain flashed in her eyes, but she managed to shake her head.
She let her head fall back to his chest. Every moment with Fitz caused her heart to twist in all kinds of pain, yet she persisted, not wanting to let him go just yet.
"I won't ever let you go, Sophie. Do you want to know something?" Fitz whispered, wrapping his trembling arms around her torso.
"Hmm?" She quivered.
"You're unforgettable, Sophie. I just. . . wanted to show the world you were finally mine, and now this?" He tore a hand through his disheveled hair.
Sophie's eyelids drooped, and she barely managed to stay conscious. "No," she murmured firmly. "You have to move on. . ."
Her words hung in the air as black swirled into her consciousness, and she fell limp in his arms.
He leaned down and pressed a kiss to her cheek before carrying her away in the crisp, night air.

Fitz Vacker is a student at a private boarding school, under the stress of classes, homework, and social status. He's a straight-A student and is always at the top of his class. He's become desperate to find what he is missing and has resorted to asking his best friend and dorm mate, Keefe. Keefe manages to convince him that he needs to get out and have some fun! So that Friday night, they went out on the town to a club. After an hour there, Fitz decides that this was just a waste of time and that he should head back to study. He starts walking through the packed club when he bumps into a girl. He catches her just in time and begins to apologize when their eyes meet. The world stops and at that moment, there's nothing missing in his life. Everything is complete and he had never felt so filled with happiness. He stumbles out of the club a few seconds later to catch his breath outside. He has no idea what just happened or why that girl made him feel like that. This is a work of fanfiction, all credit and characters belong to Shannon Messenger. Placed after Stellarlune, for the sake of the story Elysian is gone, and most of Keefe's powers are fixed. NO Mature/Explicit scenes. Keefe's forehead was searing hot against Sophie's shoulder, she pressed it harder against her, hoping to brand the feeling there. "You don't always mess things up Keefe." Unable to resist the soft tendrils tickling her fingers, she slid her fingers up the nape of his neck and into his hair. The sound he made, could have only be described as a whimpered groan, his arms pulling Sophie impossibly close to him. "I want you." Keefe's voice was strangled. "I want you so much, Sophie. I want you to be mine, I want you to look for me whenever you go into a room- the same way I look for you. I want you to think of me as soon as you wake up, and right before you go to sleep- the way I think of you. I want you to-" Emotions choked out Keefe's voice, Sophie pulled away just enough for her eyes to find his, Keefe's breath coming out in harsh jagged rasps, his eyes burned into hers with sheer desperation. Tears sprung into Sophie's as she recognized just how much Keefe needed her- a desperation that consumed him from the inside out, a feeling that reflected her own. "I'm yours." Sophie promised.
Worth Everything
