Saturday, November 10, 1888. Joan Rowe's Journal Lately my job has gotten awfully dangerous as a killer is killing prostitutes like myself. Just yesterday a friend of mine, Mary Kelly was killed in her home. It was just disgusting. Now I'm afraid to walk home at night. All I can do is pray.

The cops, to stop the savage slaughters piling up on the streets of Whitechapel. - A fictitious rendition of the Whitechapel killings in 1888 London, England. - (I wrote this in a week for my short story class, so some historical elements are a bit off because I didn't have enough time to fact-check everything. Helpful critiques are always welcome!)
