After the Android Revolution, a law was created to give rights to androids to be treated as equal to humans. Unfortunately, not everyone is in agreement of this idea. One of these people are Gavin Reed.
Ever since the law was passed, Gavin has been deteriorating. His opinions starts to affect his work. So as a way to solve this problem he is given an android partner, an RK900 model, Conan.
Neither Gavin nor Conan is pleased with their situation.
WARNING: Swearing (as you can see in the title), none of these characters are mine (obviously), the story is written in Gavin's perspective but with third person pronoun, I'm not that knowledgeable about the Police so I apologize in advance if I get anything wrong. Also: this fic is 90% crack cuz I can't do serious. I take it back it's 100% crack. I take it back it's 9000% crack.
Changes in universe: RK900 will be referred to as Conan (as said in the summary), Gavin and Elijah are twins (although Elijah is barely mentioned [nevermind he's in the story now]), and there is also romance between Gavin with Conan and Hank with Connor and more (Uh... I guess spoilers to this fanfic: Elijah and Leo because I felt like it)

Gavin still harbors all of his earlier hatred and animosity towards Androids. So, when his new partner is, itself, an Android, he doesn't appreciate it. However, he soon learns just how ruthless and intimidating his new partner is. But, there's a strange softness to his partner that piques his curiosity. The Replacement - Detroit: Become Human
I won't lie I kinda hate myself for writing this but the ideas kept flowing so here we go It would take a long time for androids to be equal to humans, but at least the first steps had been made. Connor, a prototype for a detective android who managed to go deviant and form a friendship with an old police Lieutenant who drinks just a little too much was one of those androids who liked to believe he had a hand in the outcome of the Android Revolution. The rules were when the Deviant case was solved, Connor would return to Cyberlife, but now that androids were people he could stay in the police department- and you bet your ass he did. Everything was going smoothly for about a month or so until Connor and his best partner Hank are chasing after a serial killer and Connor gets injured on the job. Will Hank be able to finish the case without his partner there every step of the way? And an even bigger question: How will the Lieutenant handle Connors replacement - the RK900? Story length: 10,003 Words - This is based after the ending where everyone lives and they essentially get equal rights for androids - This is not Hank x Connor, it's more of a father/son relationship - Trigger Warnings: Cussing, drinking, bodies and typical crimescene environments, drugs, etc. - This is kinda a lazy fanfic- AKA I really love these characters and had a scene in my head, then formed a plot around it and did my best to make it interesting lol. - I made the cover in Desygner - Characters belong to the game Detroit: Become Human and the company that made it, Quantic Dream. But, as it turns out, the building is not so deserted as a brand new, fresh out of the laboratory, RK900 is awakened and shoved into the new world and made an android detective. Sadly for him, RK900 has to be partnered with none other than the one and only, iconic, pissed off detective: Gavin Reed. It's almost a year, that the androids started a revolution and got stopped by the RK800-model. Most of the old models got destroyed and replaced with newer models in hope, that the disaster wouldn't happen ever again. After the great success of the RK800, Cyberlife published the new advanced model, claiming, that this is the perfect machine detective in all times -RK900. They created the new RK-model with the so-called "Dog Syndrome", which is a reference to the phrase: Like owner, like dog. It's supposed to make the android work harmoniously with their owner. Gavin Reed hated androids before and even more after the revolution. If he gets the chance, he would shoot every single of them, because they are just machines causing trouble. All of a sudden, Fowler got him a new partner for solving the case: people seem to disappear without any hind. Are the androids behind it? As you got closer you heard the very voice from who you were suspecting it to belong to. "(Y/n), this is-" The Android cut Hank off before he could finish. "My name is Connor.
