Many people wish for their own story. They wish for their own happy ending. In doing so, they create a colossal wave of events that somehow makes them the main character.
Now, being the main character is the best thing ever. No one wants a supporting or background role. They want the lead. For some reason, any role other than the main is utter trash.
And I find that quite offensive.
Yes, I am a background character. Does it suck? At times. Am I okay with it? Of course. Even though I don't have my own heart-wrenching story, or whatever, I enjoy my life.
In this piece of literature, that I have composed in my laboratory (the blessed library), I shall tell the tales of my life. I shall rivet thee with the things I have witnessed.
Because there can definitely be happiness in the background.

I've dreamed of the perfect marriage ever since I was a little girl: a marriage complete with a hardworking husband while I tended to the home and our children, preferably four little rugrats to call my own. I dreamed of a life filled with laughter, joy, and success, a life we built together. I dreamed of growing old next to my husband, creating a great love story to tell our grandchildren someday. It all seemed so possible. I was raised to be the perfect wife, after all. Tell Me Pretty Lies
From the second you're in this world they tell you what is fair. What questions your allowed to ask and the ones you can never dare say. I find it damn near funny that most of you are reading this and know exactly what I mean. They put you on the path they've paved for you as kids we don't question it or even wonder if it's right for you. But beyond your paths edges is a land made up of risks and dangers. You feared it they tell you no good will come from it but how do you really know? Truth be told I was the girl who had her whole life planned out for her, straight A's, best friend, and two loving parents. I know what I wanted what I needed and I knew how to fight like hell for it. There's a reason why everyone prefers pretty lies over the bitter truth and it's usually because they can't handle the truth but I think the most likely thing is they can't handle what happens to the person once the truth comes out that's what happened to me. I was happy the way things were and then one day everything blew up in my face. Maybe the happy girl I was would have been happy living a lie for the rest of her life but no matter what the truth always comes out. So I ask you what would you have wanted the bitter truth or the pretty lie?

My high school experience was full of drama, tears, laughter, and most of all constant search of love, and approval of the people around me. I can't always get what I want in this world.
