"Okay munchkin, this is your room and you are allowed to walk around the ward once you're settled" Nurse Joann says.
I nod and give her a weak smile.
"And don't be shy. A lot of these kids are around your age." she reassured me.
She leaves and I decided to take her advice and leave my room. I close my door behind me and as I turn around I see a tall figure look at me.
"Welcome to the ward, new girl."
