Alayne Mikaelson has returned to Mystic Falls to settle down peacefully for a while. It is there that she sees the face of a girl who has previously haunted her past, a past that she ran away from. The Salvatore brothers have also chosen to return to Mystic Falls and soon, history begins to repeat itself as more problems are drawn to the small, quiet town of Mystic Falls.
