On a journey to complete her mother's quest, Lucy Heartfilia prepares herself for life-changing events.
She did not prepare for, however, the realisation that even after everything she still lives under the shadow of her Heartfilia name and in the comfort of her Fairy Tail home. Taking this quest as a chance to break away from her guild and step out of her comfort zone, Lucy journeys to find herself.
And it sets in for an awesome adventure of friendship, feelings and family when she comes back. Alongside her friends, Lucy realises that maybe it is possible to both embrace your past and start all over again.

Summary The story takes place after Zeref and Acnologia were defeated.
