Raven Wood lives in a mansion on the outskirts of town with his rich parents. In typical rich kid 'let's piss off Daddy' style, he's a rebel - forever partying, drinking and doing drugs. From the outside looking in, he looks like the most ungrateful kid ever. Behind closed doors, however, it's a different story. Raven was unwanted, and his parents make sure he knows that everyday.
Jesse McCloud's family have always struggled with money. A money-wasting leech of a stepmother and a father who never finished secondary school mean they're pretty much always broke. But he appreciates the few things that he has. He's a model student and a generally well behaved kid, who doesn't see the point in partying and drinking and doing drugs. Then their worlds collide.
