They were told that their ancestors wanted to start again. A clean slate, a new beginning. Away from the pollution and radiation, away from the eroding atmosphere and excess toxic waste that was soon to be the cause of the extinction of the human race. That's what they were told on the space crafts. They were showed pictures of how Earth was crumbling before their eyes. Once white, blue and green, now unhealthy shades of brown, both the thing they called land and the big blue liquid they called sea. They were told about the horrible crimes of their old planet. The mass murder and the cutting down of trees, the terrorism and the theft. The crime and poverty. The constant wars that killed millions and millions of people all around the world, which was sure to be coming to an end. They had been saved from all those horrible things. A new world, new land flowing with milk and honey. They were only children, but they knew who their heroes were; The Governors. One million of them were taken in 100 space crafts. They never the saw the other space crafts but they were told about them. They were only seven when the space crafts arrived. It had taken 225 years to arrive and their Scholars had prepared them, teaching them about their two suns, the sky and animals. Things they had never seen in their lives, replaced by the ebony black veil of space with sprinkles of lights they called stars. A far as their seven-year old selves could tell, it was going to be their fresh new homes. That's what their heroes told them. But not the truth. And let me tell you the truth; There's a Cursed and a blessed, and they could be either one. WARNING: some bloody imagery
