When Ash gets back home from Kalos he expects a nice welcome home, but when he gets home his mom and traveling companions tell him to give up his dream of being pokemon master, but Ash doesn't give a thousand fucks and runs to the Oak lab and gets all of his pokemon and trains and becomes Kanto champion and then there is a tournament in Kalos and everyone is invited. So Ash goes there and meets the tratiors but they don't no that Ash is the Kanto champion untill the first round.
