Nadia has lived in Petra for all of her 15 years of life. Living with her mother, brother, sister, and dog, Nadia certainly has a full house to take care of. One day, when bandits raid their town dry, people begin to leave. Nadia's mother, has decided to stay, but that's going to cost some things. Having almost nothing left, the family must venture out into the desert, to hopefully find an oasis, and to see if they can survive. - "Mama, why must we go?" My younger siblings cried out, as Mother was packing her stuff up. "Because, my flowers, we must go to find somethings that will keep us alive." Mother replied smoothly. I'll admit, I didn't want to leave either, but I thought of it as an adventure. "Just think, we'll be going on a journey! It'll be fun!" I cried out. "Oh yay! An adventure!" They cried out, and I smiled. With their spirits up, it rose my spirits. Maybe we'll survive this. Slowly, but surely surviving.
