Sci-fi romance short-story set in the cyberpunk city of Red Orb.
Vie is a bounty hunter. She has always been alone, as far as she remembers, and the only person closest to what you'd call a "friend" would be Ace, a police lieutenant, who she sees as her 'good old enemy'. Vie never had any dreams or hopes until Ace turns out to be more than what he seemed.
