Damaged Beyond Repair
Lance knows that he's annoying. He knows that he's a flirt, and that his jokes are always terrible. That's why the kidnapping by the Galra fleet, didn't bother him all that much. His team would just be better off without him getting in the way of everything. He just slowed them down. The Galra need information. Every blow they shot at the paladins of Voltron, didn't seem to do much. The capture of the Blue Lion and its rider was what they needed to find out how to win against the pesky earthlings. Keith, Hunk, Pidge, Shiro, Coran, and Allura are worried. With Keith stressing himself out over the wellbeing of his kidnapped friend, and Pidge looking all over for said friend, the paladins of Voltron are not on their best. So when the paladins are reunited after being spread throughout space, he tries to hide his insecurities and fears and pain. However, he can't hide it for long. He nearly cried out at the impact. The Black Paladin dug his hands into the fabric of his shirt, pushing him harshly against the wall, "Where is Lance?!" Keith snarled. It really was remarkable how his eyes changed to resemble those of pure Galra. It would have scared him if his introduction to the guy hadn't been a gushing retelling of a 'bonding moment' between him and his brother. Alec merely rolled his eyes. "Haven't you been listening. I. Don't. Know. And to think Lance said you were smart." Keith was pratically growling as he pulled his arms off of his shirt. "I'll say this once. You will either help me find my brother and fix the mess you made or you will let me leave with that ship and stay the fuck away from him." In which Lance goes off on a solo mission without the others knowing only to be left behind when the team disappears and having to deal with the aftermath. (They do get reunited. In fact most of the time lance spends a part from them in shown in Lance's flashbacks leading up to their reuinion.)Complete

"I love you." He stammered, voice breaking between sobs. "I love you, Keith. So much." Keith's heart skipped a beat, or maybe blatantly stopped. He couldn't believe Lance had just said that -he pondered on the possibility of having misheard him- but his voice had sounded so honest and so painfully hurt, he knew there was no way Lance's words weren't true. The honesty dripping from his drunk-stained words left Keith breathless. He never thought he'd live to hear those words coming from Lance, he was certain he would never love him back, he thought he liked Kinkade, as much as it pissed him off the idea. But Lance was sitting next to him, in a desolated hallway in the middle of the night, as if they were just idle teenagers, his big ocean eyes looking at him with fear and so much pain, and he felt like the world had just stopped for them.Complete
