Mercedes Walker lives a nice, worry lacking life alongside her mother. Her best friend, Skylar Moore, is a wacky, British woman who can't keep her nose out of trouble. The everyday activities are all but exciting despite the efforts mercy and Skylar put into it to make it, well, interesting-ish. But all that is about to change. 

Mercy's world runs, literally runs, into a sudden twist that that transcends the meaning of her life to a whole new level. A mysterious man moves into the only mansion in town and along with him, horrors follow her wherever she goes. She is one of three women needed to complete an ancient prophecy. When her identity is revealed trouble stirs up in other places and Mercy seems to be the key to the salvation of the magical world, a world filled with creatures she will soon discover to be hell bent on killing her. Will she be able to save both human and magical worlds without losing herself in the process? Or will the desires filling her heart drive her to lead both worlds into chaos?
