Two Part Series: Book One 

Nakoto Ui is a proud woman. Luffy is a brave man. The two childhood friends are reunited, but under dire circumstances. Ui's crew has perished, and herself and Tamara are the only known survivors.

Luffy has always been there with his smiles that brighten the world. Those smiles are what made Ui fall for the boy. Can she ever get past this, or will she fall into a hole that even Luffy can't pull her from?

***This is actively being rewritten. The OG chapters are going to remain because I plan to replace them as I go so people can read (or reread) if they choose. I have not abandoned despite my absence, but rest assured this story is very dear to my heart and I will never let it go. I hope you enjoy! When Nami falls ill, the Straw Hat pirates seek medical care for her on the icy coldness of Drum Island. It happens to be the very place where one of their members, sixteen year old Devil Fruit wielder Mirai Tatsumi, grew up after being casted out of her home village shortly after gaining her power to turn into a dragon hybrid. While on the island, the team meets Tony Tony Chopper, a reindeer doctor who happened to be Mirai's mentor and the only best friend she ever had long before she met Luffy. When the old king returns to claim what was rightfully his, the six pirates must band together to protect the land and its people. As a small warning, spoilers to Drum Island are in this story!
