The world turned its back on Jem Cannon, a 12-year old boy, a long time ago.
His mother is dead.
His father is in jail.
His brothers are alcoholics.
Every single day is an absolute bore.
Jem doesn't know why he even bothers to breathe anymore.
Breathing - it can be such a struggle when your heart just isn't in to it.
Jem does not want oxygen. He wants relief. He wants a reason to inhale.
Who, or what will be his incentive?
Someone must teach Jem to breathe again before he topples off the edge of sanity.

Based off a prompt on Tumblr: "I want a superhero series where they have powers that 100% contradict their personalities". Molly grew up as a fisherman's daughter in a village by the ocean, so naturally, it was a surprise to her and those around her when she acquired fire powers. Everyone around her had some sort of magic, but they all were compatible with who they were. Molly's mother had died in a fire for Aglea's sake! (Note: Aglea is a goddess who's name just happens to resemble a Greek goddess. They're very different.) Jax was the son of a rich blacksmith, who shocked everyone by developing water powers, and strong ones at that. When the two meet, they go on a journey to save Molly's village from a witch who wants their magic for her own. If they can't stop her, her icy grip will smother the world.
