What would you do if someone you loved were murdered? And if their killer was the most powerful man in the country?

It's 1952 and fifteen-year-old Julián Bárba lives in Post-Spanish Civil War Barcelona with a single mother who struggles to keep him out of trouble. He and his two best friends quit school to work in a place that operates as a factory by day, and something entirely different (and not entirely legal) by night.
This story follows the lives of the boys as they become pulled into the dark labyrinth of Barcelona's political past while learning the harsh realities of life, how much their friendship can withstand, and who they all want to become.
