The city of death

This story takes place in the city of Hestos, in the county of Athenos. The county of Athenos was created in the British period where all the Channel islands of California were joined to form a single C shaped landmass. British started this project but it was continued after independence and finished by Abraham Lincoln just before the American Civil war. The area was mostly left unattended and devloped only during the presidency of Martin Luther King Jr. Development of city project in 1968 at the height of Vietnam war was a controversial move so it was abandoned in 1971. The three planed cities Hetos, Appolos and capital city Athenos were never completed. The land was cheapest in California, which attracted immigrants, and also criminals, earning nickname Crime county.
Hestos was nicknamed "The City of Death".

The place is currently the prime target of GREAT (Global REd Armed Troops), a group established by Ex KGB members. Their prime target is establishment of Marxist society by armed revolution, all over the world.
Destruction of USA is the key to it.
