He drums his fingers on the table, staring at her intensely and unwavering. "I bet that your crush is an idiot."
She flushes ever so slightly, crossing her arms yet glancing away. A faint smile of amusement and fondness settles on her face.
"Well, yeah, maybe he is," she mumbles, thinking about how he's so adorable while being an idiot.
She then turns back to the boy before her with narrowed eyes. "But I bet your crush is an egghead, just like you."
He bites his lip, simpering dreamily. Who says "eggheads" like her aren't indescribably amazing? "Okay... you got me there."
