When Hiccup is taken from Berk, he discovers that he has a strange connection with dragons. Fleeing from this revelation, Hiccup tries even harder to be a normal Viking. Back on Berk, Hiccup accidentally shoots down a Night Fury. Hookfang, angry and still trying to convince Hiccup to give up the foolish viking ways, chases him across Berk. The chase ends with Hookfang being caged and Hiccup running into the woods to find the Night Fury he shot down from the sky. His bond with Toothless grows rapidly and soon they are basically inseparable. Unfortunately, events take a turn for the worst when someone informs the Chief of Hiccup's treachery. Stoick immediately declares Hiccup's punishment: EXHILE!
