"A hitchhiker waits on the side of the road to be picked up, planning to kill the driver. Little does he know that his driver has killed 14 hitchhikers to date, and doesn't plan on stopping now."

Mansion in the Woods
Hostage. Prisoner. What ever you wish to call it. They won't let me nor my friends leave. Taken by a cannibalistic family and claimed I was being adopted into their family. I already have a family of my own. And what of my friends that's with me? They're the main course. In the little town of Norbury, Canada, there have been several people disappearing without a trace. A couple of my colleagues and I decided to do a news article and discover the reasons for all the missing people. However I never realized the horrors that would await us in the quiet little town. The town is not a real place in Canada, I just made it up. This is my first story ever so if I have grammar mistakes PLEASE CORRECT ME!!! I'm not a writer but I've had this idea in my head ever since I watched Hostel and Wrong Turn so I figured I'd see if anyone else is interested. Over the Wall: A Collection of Short Stories (NaNoWriMo 2014)
This year for NaNoWriMo, I am writing a short story anthology. It will feature thirty or so short stories (my hope is to write one per day to fulfill my 1,667 per day word requirement) about varying things. Each morning, I will randomly select a number between one and thirty and I will look at the corresponding list of first lines I will have. I will take that line and write a short story using it and then the next day I will do the process over again (some stories might relate to each other, some might not). Anyway I will edit the story for that day and post it here. It may not be posted exactly on the corresponding day, but in the end there will be thirty short stories. P.S.
