He'd been trying to ignore them, the voices that were trapped in his head. He couldn't. They would never leave. They would never stop telling him that he was crazy and that he didn't belong in this world. In fact, it only got worse.
"Kill yourself you bulimic fag, you don't belong here."
That voice was the voice of his mother. He had always despised her because of how much she hated the idea of being different. She forever wanted a 9-5 job, a handsome husband, and a white picket fence with 2 little children running around in the front yard. Instead, she got an abusive husband, a night shift at a bar, and a bulimic gay kid with Schizophrenia. Her wonderful world crashed and she took her whole family with it. She thought that tying the rope around her neck and to the balcony and having her husband and son watch as she jumped would make her world better. Instead, her husband took out his anger and depression on his son, hitting him in the head with broken chairs and slashing his wrists in anger.
He wished he could be normal. No voices telling him to go and jump off the top floor of the nearest building. No abusive father telling him that he was worthless. He craved something to change him. Something to bring light to his dark life. Little did he know he would find just that.
