Alex and Amalea have led somewhat normal lives on the east coast with their mother and and unknown father. But when she dies and the twins find out who their father is, their lives are turned upside down.
And they don't even have the time to get to know the man behind all that money and technology when he gets kidnapped. When he comes back, he's a changed man. He's not distant and uncaring, he decides to give those two eight year olds a chance.
The media, like hungry piranhas, will jump at any bit of juicy news, so Stark's disappearance and his newfound kids will blow up every network imaginable. But that isn't the whole truth. The truth is much more complicated than simply a man creating a suit to escape and then become a superhero. No, this is a story of heartbreak, loss, betrayal, and above all, family. And it's so much deeper and darker than the media is willing to go.
