Leo finds himself coping with Jason's death by throwing himself into inventing. He can't stop or he'll break down. The only person who can even attempt talking to him is Calypso, who lives in Bunker 9 with him. Sometimes he goes without sleeping for days at a time- Calypso once found out he was awake for 5 days working before demanding he sleep at least 3 hours.
He feverishly obsesses over what he could have done wrong, what actions could've saved his best friend. Someone who he loved so deeply.
He thinks about this often, so intensely that he begins to work on his next project. He KNOWS he's figured out the mechanics, he just needs to build it. It's so very dangerous though, so he hasn't told anyone about it, not even Calypso. But he knows he can do it, build it.... a time machine.
He's determined to go back and keep Jason alive, even if it kills him.

Okay, so I'd just like to say that this is not well written whatsoever lol. All the grammar is correct, and there's some decent description, but it all feels very rushed if I'm honest. I tried to cram too many ideas in and yeah, it made.. whatever this is. Uh, I have some one-shots on my profile which might be better to read?... If you don't mind a fic being rushed this is probably great for you, lol, but the plot line is very higgledy piggeldy. Um, enjoy? Percy X Apollo Percy Jackson is tired. Of everything. He and Annabeth broke up after the fall into Tartarus, neither being able to look at the other the same way. Sure, they stayed friends, but that doesn't make Percy feel any better about it. Some of the gods are concerned, but Zeus is forbidding them from checking in on him, intent on leaving demigods alone despite all they've done for the Olympians. Apollo, however, is ignoring this order. He cares a little too much about Percy to watch him suffer in silence. But when a new threat arises, how will the Olympians handle it? How will the demigods handle it? This is very all over the place, but I think it turned out well in the end. (This is future me in brackets, btw, it did not turn out well lmao). In this story, Nico is overprotective of Percy (still solangelo though) as a best friend. He's forgiven Percy for the whole ordeal about Bianca and now they're pretty close, both confiding in each other about things they never thought they'd tell a soul. The ships are: Pipabeth - Piper + Annabeth Chrisse - Clarisse + Chris Solangelo - Nico + Will Valgrace (platonic) - Jason + Leo because I despise Caleo sorry lmao Perpollo - Percy + Apollo I do not own any of these characters, all rights are to Rick Riordan other than the storyline/plot. But Tartarus, two wars, and five years of questing has tolled them more then they first thought, and hiding it is getting harder, especially when they go to school. Frank and Hazel are Praetors, (along with Reyna). And honestly, they are just passengers along for the ride. Part Two Frank, Hazel, and Reyna are at CHB to create an exchange program between the camps. But something is going on with the Fifth Cohort Percy, Annabeth, and Leo are going to school together.
