From the moment he graduated high school, Prompto had everything. His best friend was the Crowned Prince of Lucis, he had been accepted as part of the Crownsguard by Noctis' request to King Regis, and he had you. 

Yet when your relationship falls trap to a cliche act of betrayal, you disappear without a word, leaving Prompto practically empty inside. 

Several years pass, King Regis makes an odd request of Noctis and his retainers to meet with a glaive. According to their sources, the glaive has stumbled upon valuable Intel. But judging by the profile of this glaive, and the timing of their departure from Insomnia, a part of him wonders whether it's by sheer coincidence the profile matches you.
