The year was 1977. The First Wizarding War was really heating up. Tensions are high and danger lurks around every corner. People are making efforts to bright spots in the darkness, but it becomes increasingly difficult as time marches on. The staff of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry are trying their hardest to try to maintain the same air of pure magic, jovial nature, and light. Whether they are fully successful is up for debate. The staff this year, however, will have some help.

Lily Evans is entering her seventh year. She's 17 and has a shining future ahead of her. She thinks that her biggest challenges of the year would be her rigorous classwork in preparation for her N.E.W.T. exams, keeping up with her Head Girl duties, and putting up with the Marauders; normal stuff. This story is based on JK Rowling's characters from the series Harry Potter. I have done my best to be accurate with both timelines and character portrayals, but of course there will be some changes since this is an alternate universe with some original characters inserted, plus, there is only so much written about the marauder's era. The story takes place in the year 1976, the boys are all in their sixth year, and tensions are high at Hogwarts. Many of the students are already feeling the influence of the Voldemort, and it is causing suspicion and division to run rampant within the walls of the school. Of course James is still battling for Lilly's attention, hoping to prove how much he's matured over the summer months.
