"Sleep children or else the Midnight Mistress will capture you and lock you up inside her evil house." That's something all children of this small town near Karnataka grew up hearing instead of the standard warning of the boogeyman. The only difference is, unlike Boogeyman, there is a bunch of evidence regarding the existence of the Midnight Mistress. Some think she is a tale that the town's people came up with, but she is as real as you and me. This is the story of Tanuja Awasthi, one of the fortunate survivors who, along with her friend Jiya Samthan, escaped in one piece from the clutches of the evil spirit whose name is only enough to make anyone in the town running for their dear life. But what happens when the Midnight Mistress wants them back, or rather wants them dead? This story is purely fictional and any sort of resemblance to reality is absolutely coincidental.
