When a car accident on her birthday causes the sudden loss of her mother, Aurelia Bellemore's entire universe shatters into a kazillion pieces. On top of losing her mother, who is... Or "was", rather, her only family after a failed attempt at finding her father and brother, she is forced to move to a whole new city to live with her mother's best friend and her son - Kyle - whom she quickly befriends.

Still in mourning of her mother's death, with thoughts of the accident still fresh in her memories, Aurelia is not in the mood for bullshit. Especially not from some high school A-class jackass, who seems to think he's above everybody else. However, she soon realises that the big city is dark and dangerous. The dark night's sky is a sea of secrets and webs of lies hang around every corner. One can never be sure of what they'll really find - or whom?
