ATTENTION! POSSIBLE TRIGGERS AHEAD! Life is made up of a series of events, small ones like eating breakfast or taking a shower and big ones such as getting married and having children. The big events in your life are the ones people celebrate and post all over social media about, but sometimes in the course of a lifetime there are events that make just as much of an impact if not more so but they are never talked about. People consider them taboo. Tragic events that are buried under words of encouragement and soft smiles that thinly mask the horror they truly feel. This is where my story begins on the night where I went from being a carefree and strong willed child to the woman who now stays up nights crying on my pillow, salting it with my sorrows and fears.
