Classic Albums that Must be Heard

This is going to be more to keep my head in the game with my other writing. If I mention a song in my novel length work I end up writing a dissertation on the history of rock music, while mentioning songs, performers, and quoting them is essential to my style (I usually have a soundtrack in my head when I write a scene) I want that to set a tone not bog down the flow. On another content note, the first part of the work is not going to be intended to always be accurate, if I say a genre, it'll be the one I think it should be not from any official source.
