You were walking down the street on the way back home after your shift at the gas station. You were pretty tired so you wanted to get to your beloved bed as fast as possible. The area you live in isn't the best. You could say you lived on the bad side of town. So seeing the mafia or sketchy people on the street wasn't so alarming. You were almost at your shortcut, which was perfect because it got you to your home 15 minutes faster rather than taking the long route.

As you round the corner of you little shortcut you stop for a moment. What was that noise? You walk towards one of the side alleyways that connects to the one your in now and walk around the corner, not bothering to hide the fact that you're there. As the little street comes into your view you just stand there for a second. 7 men were surrounding a guy that was kneeling in front of them. One of them was pointing a gun at the man's head. He seemed to be crying and apologizing profusely.

As you took a step to your left to continue on your way, the stones under your black boots made some noise, causing the 7 men to turn their heads your way. You kinda look at them for a second before shrugging and walking away. Before you are fully out of sight you hear one of the men speak. ''Grab her.''

Ugh... and here you thought you could just go home and sleep.

The attorney adjusted his glasses, standing taller. "Ms. Nicole, you've confirmed that you witnessed the suspects extorting the victim. That alone establishes a connection to Mr. Jungkook, given their claim of working under his orders." "Claim," he echoed. "You said it yourself, attorney. Anyone can claim anything when they're desperate." His gaze flickered toward the suspects, both of whom were avoiding his eyes as if looking at him directly would seal their fate. "They weren't desperate when they had the victim cornered," I said before I could stop myself. "And what do you know about desperation, sweetheart?" "You didn't answer the question," I shot back. "These men work for you. You benefit from their actions. Are you really going to stand there and act like you have no part in this?" _ "Your Honor, this is nothing but a weak attempt to drag my name into an incident that I had no part in. These men were fired from my company months ago. Why would I use them for something so... petty?" "You're lying," I gritted out. Jungkook turned back to me, dark eyes glinting. "Prove it." _ "Due to the lack of concrete evidence linking Mr. Jungkook directly to the crime, the court cannot proceed with formal charges against him at this time." No, No. _ Jungkook turned to me as he stood, smoothing down his sleeves before leaning in slightly, voice just low enough for me to hear. "You should've kept walking that night."

Stuck in the elevator with a gangster

1 part Complete

Caught in the web of shadows and secrets, Y/N's life takes a surprising turn when an elevator mishap reveals the layers of Park Jimin, the mysterious gangster living next door. *** "So, you're not afraid of me?" he asks, a challenge in his words. Your eyes flicker up to his, and for a brief moment, his gaze softens. You take a deep breath, steadying your nerves. You didn't know what to say. The truth was that he terrified you. "ignoring me again? " You swallow hard, your throat dry and constricted. "I'm not - " "Bullshit. You run when you see me. You're scared, and don't deny it." You're cornered, his words pinning you in place. You take a deep breath, your eyes squeezing shut as the tension in your body mounts. "Fine, yes. I am," you admit, the words tumbling out in a rush. "Why?" he probes, the single word a demand for answers. "You don't exactly come off as friendly," you state, the words coming out harsher than intended. "Fair enough," he concedes. "So, what now?" You open your eyes to see him still crouched beside you, his gaze boring into yours. "Now? What do you mean?" you ask, confusion clouding your mind. "What are you going to do now? You've admitted that I scare you. You're trapped in an elevator with me. How are you going to handle that?" he says, a smug grin tugging at the corner of his lips. ***
