Caroline and her friends have just started their last year of junior high, which seems to be no different from the same old boring years of before, to most of them.  It just happens that her birthday falls on the same day that school starts, so they all head over to her place for a party, but unfortunately for them,  what awaits them can only be described as magic, mysteries, murder, and misery.
