What if hiccup got stranded on his way to help negotiations with other tribes, Is never on Berk to shoot down toothless and learns that dragons are intelligent and kind creatures from another source
This is not a full summery it's just what I've got in my head for now I will eventually add to it I just didn't know what else to put
Super inconsistent chapter uploads because I am still a student and read rather than write more than I should (I am working on trying to fix that)
Disclaimer I don't own any of the characters and all that jazz except for my one character whom I love to death
Btw: characters are not going to end up talking with the Norse accent it is an extreme pain in the butt to do and I don't quite understand how to write it well

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third is the only son of Stoick the Vast, chief of the Hooligan tribe. As his only son, he is next in line for the chiefdom which wouldn't be a problem, if he wasn't a runt. Viking's believe that a name is what strikes fear into your enemies. Hiccup's obviously doesn't. The name is given to those who won't survive their first winter. Those who don't belong, those who will not be any more than a burden. Hiccup isn't an exception to this. I mean, sure he survived his first winter, and the next fifteen. But he caused problems, not on purpose. Things just happened when he was around. First when he was six, and a nearby furnace blew up when he lost his temper. Then when he was eight, nine, eleven. These strange happenings kept occurring, and nothing he did helped. Everything he did, everything he tried had some way of turning back on him. For the longest time he believe that the God's cursed him. Toothless has always told Hiccup that vikings are cruel, horrible people that kill dragons for the fun of it, and that he should stay as far away from them.
