Sicheng is a merman, he is the youngest son of the king of the sea. However he is also a rare type of mermaid. He's different from the rest.
He can't swim as fast as the other mermans and mermaids mostly because his tail is smaller then a typical mermaid tail. His tail isn't strong either, most mermaid tails have the strength to make strong waves in the water and swim through huge storms.
However being different like he is makes the other mermaids and mermans pick on him but his oldest brother is always there to save him from the others but when a pirate ship comes into there reef when a storm is hitting and he can't swim away like the others.

Nct are one of the best pirates in the 7 seas. They are known for there ability to steel whatever they want. There basically drowning in money and gold. However every pirates dream is to catch a mermaid. Very few have ever been caught before, but catching one is said to make you richer then the king and queen themselves. So when Nct finds out where they would be able to catch one, of course there going to go for it, even if it's dangerous. However they did not expect to catch a rare little golden tail merman or to get attached to it in anyway.
