Two children are baby-sat by a woman by the name of Julia Hunt while their parents go on their honeymoon.
2 days later Julia is found dead, the children missing.
As if they were never really there.
Some Can Hear the Dark, Wolt's first novel, is a funny, poetic, and altogether horrifying story about what happens when one woman finds herself overthrown by a dark force beyond her control.

"Every step you take away from me only drives you closer to the brink of my madness. You belong to me, Winter. Any alternative reality or illusion you hope for- I will destroy them until your very existence is entwined with mine." -𝐈𝐯𝐚𝐧 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐞 Eighteen-year-old Winter has always been a quiet shadow, a shy spy avoiding the perils of the spotlight. But when she's tasked with stalking five powerful Heirs, her carefully crafted invisibility shatters. Her mission is clear: erase their scandals, track their every move, and never draw attention. Yet, when she crosses paths with Ivan Arcane-the ruthless heir to one of the world's most powerful empires-everything changes. At first, Ivan saw her as dull and dependent, an insignificant watcher in the crowd. A beautiful doll to be kept locked and safe somewhere- an innocence belonging nowhere near him or his world. But when she makes one fatal mistake, he uncovers the sharp, wild mind she's concealed beneath fragile masks of pink and purples. Now, Ivan is obsessed, determined to dismantle her defenses and claim her as his own. And In a world where power rules, Winter is no longer the Hunter in the game -she's Ivan's fixation, a prey to a predator and he'll stop at nothing to change the very narrative of the fairy tale so the villain gets the girl in the end. [BUNDLE] BOOK 1: There's a reason buried things should always stay buried. For better or for worse. To have and to hold a demon for eternity. She says demons haunt the night, inflecting everything in their path. But where I come from demons don't just lurk around the shadows. They breed in your head. Feasting on your soul until you cease to exist. And, mine just woke up infested in wicked lies. Till death do us apart, little soul. BOOK 2: Girls like them are expected to dance to the tune of evil. To smile with the taste of souls in their veins and vengeance in their hearts. To feed the ghosts and the monsters within them. Discarded by the world and hidden in a maze of twisted creatures, I'm barely holding into my sanity, trapped between the past and the present. Between good and evil. Until one day I no longer recognize myself or them. He says he can see beyond the evil that I am. But it's not him that my madness prevails for or HIM. Because I'm starting to hear their tune, dancing to destruction and chaos. BOOK 3: There's a reason buried things should always stay buried. Like my mistakes. Your past. Now the grave is open and corpses are crawling out. Corpses inflicted with lies and betrayals. Corpses that you pull the strings of, corpses that even Hell is afraid to take. You see, little soul, you think that makes you the monster in our story. But you forgot me. You forgot my promise. Our story might have ended with till death do us apart. But even death has a shadow to lose.

The forest

10 parts Complete

For as long as anyone can remember people have walked into the Crimson town forest and never returned. People think that by putting up millions of missing person posters will change the fact they those people are never coming back. One day a girl named Sophie Sanders wanders into the forest seeking answers that many have in the past tried but failed to find. She leaves the woods unsuccessful in her search but something in her has changed. Sophie begins to feel, hear, and see everything differently and she feels as if she is being drawn back to the place where no one dares go. Can she even try to resist the pull of the mysterious forest or give in and let is consume her? BTW this book is one of my first novels and I don't think it's that bad so if you'd give it a chance it might surprise you.
