Foster was naive. He had been alone in the 'alley' - an ironic metaphor he used to describe the claustrophobic, four cornered room that was well lit to expose the white walls. After being sedated to sleep for a longer period no one could imagine, he woke up learning he wasn't aging while the people he met was, and the outside world ilwas changing. All he must do to survive is to step up his will to adapt.

I had woken up in a place that felt like peace but I did not know why or how I ended up here. The white couch was comforting but the glass waterfall like wall was intriguing. What could be behind there? Who could be living here? There seemed to be no exit or entrance that I could use. Where was I? "Hello?" Strange, no echo. Not even a single reciprocation of sound. Just utter calmness and warmth. Strange, very strange. I wondered constantly asking if there was life, any sign of life beside my very own... This could not be that I had died, it made me feel to alive to be my final resting place.
