From the ancient times, there was one wizard that was immortal, but it wasn't his choice. It was a curse that was cast on him because he wanted to fool death. His name was Zeref. He lived for a hundred of years. It was painful and each time when he witnesses a war, he changed. From kind and friendly to dark and ruthless. He started to make demons to kill his enemies, but he didn't know that from this, he would make his most powerful enemy. The one that lost everything, his family, his love, his friends and his will to live. But from his sadness and anger he gained something that could rival Zeref...
Immortality. 
The day that was called "Numar Tragedy", on that day was born another immortal.

To save her father and the people Lucy leaves the castle before Mard Geer used her to marry the a dark wizard to become the next king. As Lucy runs away Mard Geer has people after her. Very powerful people at that. As Lucy runs for her life, trying to find the ancient ninja clan she had heard stories about from her mother she runs into a man a year older than herself named Natsu Dragneel....
