*Book 1 in the "Irises" trilogy* Karlee is blind, but that never stopped her. Neither did having the power to enter other people's minds. When her college year starts, Karlee is faced with another like her, and more to come. Trevor hides a secret, a dangerous one that could get him killed. But when he meets a blind girl, his world expands tenfold when he finds out that she shares his gift. In this story of amazing powers and unique individuals, can Karlee and Trevor live with their gifts, or will they suffer beneath the weight of their demons?

I have restarted this book. I wanted to make it easier to read and more enjoyable. I hope to make shorter chapters and update frequently. :) In the beginning Sylar has no name. No one cares. She's just another kid to fall into a system because she was an unwanted mess. A child that doesn't talk? Yea, no one care about that either. A shady group home filled with bullies and secrets? Yea, you guessed NO ONE CARES! To find friends in a place like this is unlikely. This place is built to feed off the fears of kids and their lack of parental role models. No one holds on to dreams for long in a place like this. You get placed here and you are as good as forgotten. Except when a couple shows up looking as out of place as an astronaut in a gold mine or a miner in space whichever one you prefer. This couple comes and shakes things up. Good or Bad has yet to be decided...only someone's bound to get hurt, someone's bound to be broken. The only question is will the wounds heal or fester and kill?
