The Returners

Elaine is a plain orphan girl living in a world where names hold an ancient spell and magic is almost extinct. The Ancient War wiped almost every last bit from the earth, leaving only small kernels all over the world. That is why people put the last remaining magic in objects or places for safe-keeping decades ago. Now, Returners are the ones who find back the magic and return the objects to their owners. When Elaine lands herself in prison, she accidentally finds a charm that holds powers.
At the same time the most famous returner, Sebastian Castello, is searching for that exact same charm. They stumble upon each other and have to work together to return it. Soon, Elaine is introduced to a whole new world where she learns about her parents' past and reveals many dark secrets about herself she thought would never come true.
