The mission was seemingly routine. A colony somewhere in the Milky Way had mysteriously gone inactive, forcing a group of ragtag Gems to investigate on behalf of Homeworld. Isolated from their own kind by countless lightyears, the crew of the starship Parallax make a horrifying discovery. 


Out in the cold reaches of space are monsters, far more terrible than the void itself, some of which can destroy entire planets on a whim. Their investigation will take them straight towards Earth, where the shocking truth awaits.

Hundreds of years ago, before man discovered gems and crystals, there was one crystal: The Crystallis. It was very powerful and was used on the good side in the fight against good and bad. In a final battle between the old Crystallis rangers and the forces of evil, controlled by the Crystallis Empress, the Crystallis was shattered, not destroyed but scattered into different pieces, which then were names gems. A few hundred years after that, Professor Cormac Lithon and his brother, both aliens from the planet Caro, found seven pieces of the Crystallis. After a while, an evil alien, son of the Crystallis Empress, corrupted by a dark Crystallis Shard called the Void Gem, came after the seven Shards. Cormac managed to use two of the shards to banish the Crystallis Overlord, getting those two of the shards lost while doing it, but not for long. Now, in present day, the Crystallis Overlord and Empress have returned. Cormac and his assistant, Alara, choose five teenagers to harness the power of the five Crystallis Shards. These shards grant them elemental powers and control over powerful Zords. Now free, but can't leave the Obsidian Abyss yet, the Crystallis Overlord and Empress seek to gather all the shards to reshape the world under his rule, sending monster after monster to destroy the Rangers. NOTE: I do not own Power Rangers. The characters and plot are mine except those that are part of the Power Rangers franchise.

He's finally done defending his home planet. But just as he puts his feet up, a mysterious Gem with a gemstone the shape of a corrupted love-heart appears, riding a massive Injector. Of course, the Crystal Gems eventually stop her in the end... but not after a MASSIVE twist. We hate you, Pink Diamond!! May you fall down a very long flight of stairs and break every tooth in your mouth except one with the hope of having a very bad toothache for the rest of your life which hopefully won't be very long!!!!!

A pearl too small to fit in, an alien betrayed by his own people, a peridot punished for being too kind, and a separated couple. These apparently unconnected characters will end being linked up by the consequences of an event that will ultimately trigger the unveiling of Homeworld's most well hidden secrets. This story is a Steven Universe fan fiction that wants to create an alternative point of view on the original show without changing the canon events. For that, I use big amounts of speculation to fill the gaps the show left when it ended. The action is presented in short chapters and is told almost entirely told from my original characters perspective, the one of gems, and some other alien races, curious about their existance, their origins, and their possibilities beyond serving their superiors. I assume you've seen the cartoon before reading this fanfiction. Beware of the spoilers if you haven't seen all Steven Universe, the Movie, and Future.
